26 MAY TO 15 JULY 2024

Colors create a sense of well-being or aversion, shape memories and allow us to experience spaces. The exhibition “380-780 nm. Color in Architecture and the City” at the Museum der Baukultur NRW in Düsseldorf, which took place from 26 May to 28 June 2024, was dedicated to the effect and significance of color in urban architecture and interior design. The exhibition aimed to make visitors aware of the role of color in their surroundings and its influence on perception and the sense of space. It covered topics such as the “right” and “wrong” choice of color, cultural influences on color preferences and the importance of color in climate-friendly construction. Here, innovative ideas on material selection were presented that promote ageing and reuse to support sustainable architectural solutions

Büro Dr. Ulrich Hermanns was entrusted with the exhibition design. 235 Media supplied the media technology and production for the permanent exhibition and was responsible for programming and installing the media stations.
