Client: Museum Ostwall

APRIL – AUGUST 2024

The exhibition “Kopfüber in die Kunst” at the Museum Ostwall in the Dortmunder U allows visitors to become part of the art. The audience is transformed from passive viewers into active participants who can use all their senses to immerse themselves in the artwork – physical engagement thus becomes an essential part of the artistic process.

Among the highlights of the exhibition are the works of Joon Moon, whose installation “Chasing Stars in Shadow” (2021) tells a story about “shadow children” who switch back and forth between 2D and 3D. Visitors are invited to free the children from the second dimension with the help of a lantern and through movement.

Equally impressive is the immersive space “Field” by Design I/O, in which you can create plant worlds through movement and interaction. Field is a dynamic and constantly changing interactive ecosystem of flowing color particles.

235 Media supported the two artists in their process and provided the media technology for the installations.
